Post-Apocalyptic Venue. Broncemar II Streakhouse is a venue in a setting that I will remember for a long time.
Post-Apocalyptic Film Set
Situated in the once thriving Faro 2 Shopping Centre. This round space ship like former concrete shopping centre now resembles a post-apocalyptic film set. A bizarre environment in which to come a across a steakhouse and small supermarket.
Virtually all of the shops stand empty, the booths unopened and the advertisements fading in the sunshine.
Stevie Wonder
The piped music plays the same song over and over again. Incidentally it was Stevie Wonder singing “Signed, sealed, delivered, I’m yours”
After Dark
In the evening, some of the lights come on and some of the old shop fronts light up, quite spooky.
Broncemar II Steakhouse
As for the Broncemar II Steakhouse, they must be doing something right to have survived for the last ten years in this surreal environment. We took our chance with the meat paella which was excellent. I’m sure if the road warrior, Mad Max, was passing through he would approve of this post-apocalyptic venue !
