As much as I enjoy being a professional wedding photographer based in the Lake District I still have a passion for photographing the Lake District Fells and Cumbrian landscapes.
The Lake District is great for photography with photo opportunities around every corner. Ranging from big vistas capturing many mountains & lakes to close up and personal pictures of mountain streams in hidden hillside valleys.
A few favorites on the doorstep include Wastwater & Ennerdale.
Wastwater with it’s high screes, tallest mountains and deepest lake is famous for it’s fantastic light, sometimes dark & atmospheric and sometimes bright & simply magnificent. Other people obviously love Wastwater as well, it was officially voted “Britian’s Favourite View”.
Ennerdale is a quiet secluded valley surrounded by some of the highest fells in Cumbria, a million miles away from the crowds of Windermere & Ambleside. Ennerdale is a wilderness area with Bowness Knott on one side of the valley and Pillar dominating the other.
