A big Lake District wedding ! Local couple Thomas & Clare were married at St.Catherine’s Church, Eskdale in Cumbria and we were invited to photograph the days events. St.Catherine’s Church near to the village of Boot is a lovely Lake District church and a stunning location for a wedding. It was great to be able to photograph during the service and capture some nice informal shots of the happy couple. Following group photographs in the church grounds it was off to Wastwater for the location shoot. Touch of Class provided the wedding cars and it was great to be working with a local company who also knew their way around the lanes of the Lake District and where we wanted to go. As we set up the formal wedding photographs on the side of Wastwater it was fantastic that the sun broke through and gave us some lovely soft light. Next it was off to The Bridge Inn at Santon Bridge for the wedding breakfast and reception. Everyone enjoyed the big day and the reception gave us a further opportunity for more informal group pictures. After photographing the bride and groom on the side of Wastwater we know why Wastwater was voted ‘Britain’s Favourite View’ !
