St.John’s Church, Beckermet
For the wedding ceremony the happy couple chose to get married at St.John’s Church in Beckermet. Followed by a lovely wedding reception at Sella Park Country House Hotel. St.John’s Church in Beckermet was built in 1878-9 using red sandstone and has two bells in it’s bell turret. It is an unusual and attractive building.

Luxury wedding transport was supplied by ‘Touch of Class’. A wedding car hire company based in Workington.
Sella Park Country House Hotel
Sella Park Country House Hotel is located in 6 acres of mature gardens sweeping down to the River Calder. An historic property dating from the 16th Century. Some scholars suggest it was possibly the Sea Grange of nearby Calder Abbey complete with tithe barn; others believe a Pele Tower was at its core, to deflect marauding Scottish Raiders. These days it welcomes visitors from all over the world and has a magnificent marquee.
