Releasing Doves at your Wedding

It was great to be back at the World Famous Blacksmiths Shop in Gretna Green for another wedding.

We knew it was going to be an interesting wedding photography shoot. There was a lot of variations including a horse drawn carriage and the releasing of doves. When it comes to photographing the releasing of doves, it’s a challenge. It’s a bit like photographing fireworks, you only get one chance, one opportunity, to get that perfect photograph. Once the doves have flown, your chance has gone with them.

Thankfully the bride & groom had chosen professional photographers for their romantic wedding day in Gretna Green. Everyone was pleased with the wedding photographs. The one of the bride and cute flower girl worked out perfectly. The flower girl peeping round the side of the wicker basket as the doves flew into the air was an added bonus.
