Fantastic to have been back at St.James Church in Whitehaven so soon for another wedding. What a wedding it was ! Over two year of planning had finally come together for Paul & Laura’s big wedding day in Whitehaven followed by a terrific wedding reception at Greystoke Castle near Penrith. St.James Church, designated a Grade 1 listed building looked magnificent in the sunshine as did it’s lovely interior.
White Rolls Royce
The wedding day started off in the morning with Bride’s prep pictures at the Bride’s parent’s farmhouse near Lowca between Whitehaven & Workington. A lot of fun photographing the Bride and bridesmaids. Then it was off to St.James Church overlooking Whitehaven in West Cumbria. Friends and family travelled from all over the country to help celebrate the happy couple’s wedding day. The Bride to be and her father arrived at the church in Whitehaven in a luxurious white Rolls Royce. It was supplied by Rolls Royce Motor Cars London.
Wedding reception at Greystoke Castle
Following the formalities of the wedding service we all headed off to Greystoke Castle near Penrith for the wedding reception. The marquee with it’s white carpets, white leather sofas and transparent seating for one hundred and twenty people looked like a set straight out of a James Bond movie. So did the Groom in his smart black suit and dicky bow tie.
E-type Jaguar
One of the guests, a close friend of the family, had very kindly brought his E-type Jaguar up from Lancashire specially for the happy couple’s big day. It made a great backdrop and prop for lots of classy wedding photographs.
