Wedding Photos at Copper Mines Coniston
Where do keen fell walkers get married in the Lake District ?
Copper Mines Coniston
Well for Gavin & Gillian there was only one natural choice and that was Copper Mines in Coniston, a personal favourite of the happy couple.
History
Originally a Victorian sawmill, the four adjoining cottages link together to form one large Victorian house. It’s situated at the head of the Coppermines Valley. The view to the left being dominated by the ‘Old Man of Coniston’ rising to 2000 feet. To the right, a babbling lakeland stream. The history of mining in the local area dates back to approximately 1650 and remnants can still be seen. As a result the venue has it’s own unique atmosphere and feel to it.
Wedding Photographers
It was our pleasure to be Gavin & Gillian’s official wedding photographers on their wedding day. The wedding ceremony was great fun, hilarious at times and looking at the pictures it’s easy to see that the Bride & Groom enjoyed their wedding day in the mountains.
