Grove Court Hotel was formerley the Old School House and was built in 1907. It was converted to a hotel by the Benn Family in 1987 and is now a family run country hotel. It is located in the village of Cleator in the Western Lake District between Cockermouth and Egremont and a short distance from the historic town of Whitehaven. The Grove Court Hotel is a mix of old traditional sandstone exterior with a modern comfortable interior. Grove Court Hotel has two approved rooms for Civil Marriages and a large lawn with mature trees to the front. For wedding breakfasts the function suite can cater for up to 200 guests. We have been the official photographers at Grove Court several times and always enjoy working there. For wedding couples wanting some location photographs, St.Mary’s Catholic Church and Grotto is just round the corner and just a short distance away is Wathbrow Bridge and Ennerdale Water all great for wedding pictures.
