OULTON PARK RACING
Nice to be back at Oulton Park. This time we were photographing Walkingshaw Motorsport and Ben Walkingshaw. A full day filled with drama and success on track. The Clubsport Trophy never disappoints.

QUALIFYING LAPS
Qualifying laps filled with drama. On the first lap of qualifying the cause of previous vibrations on Ben’s car decided to reveal itself. The front left tyre was starting to de-laminate. Ben came into the pits and with limited time available it was looking unlikely that Ben would rejoin in time to do a qualifying lap. Fortunately the qualifying session was held up due to a red flag and potential oil on the track. Ben was able to rejoin the qualifying session and set a time. Tenth position, not the best, but better than nothing under the circumstances.

RACE CONDITIONS
The air temperature was thirty degrees and the track was forty six degrees. The high temperatures took their toll on engines, brakes and tyres. Seven out of the twenty three cars had to retire.

THE RACE
Ben made a great start and was up from tenth to forth place by turn one. He drove well and looked after the car. He brought the car home in second place overall. His best result to date in the Clubsport Trophy.
