This was a big wedding !! Guests arrived from all over the UK with many travelling up from London including the bride and groom. The brides prep pictures were in Carlisle which was a great opportunity to meet the many bridesmaids. Next we were off to Lanercost Priory Church to meet the groom, his bestman and many ushers. We had met Nick & Nikki previously during a professional portrait session at our photography studio so it was great to catch up with them again and meet all of their friends. Lanercost Priory is a stunning location in any weather but for us the sun shone all day. The wedding ceremony was really nice and the bride & groom thoroughly enjoyed the proceedings. It was easy to capture candid photographs of the bride and groom as they never stopped laughing and smiling all day. The wedding reception was held at the Gilsland Spa Hotel which is a wonderful venue. For us it was a further opportunity to take pictures of the many family & friends who had congregated for the wedding. As always the staff at the Gilsland Spa Hotel were very accommodating, helpful and great to work with.
