We’ve been running digital SLR photography courses at Hunday Manor in West Cumbria for many years. We know that understanding the basic’s of digital SLR photography is fundamental in getting the best photographs. Our goal is to help you develop and improve your digital SLR photography skills.

Basic parts of a camera, Shutter Speed, Aperture & ISO, how to hold your digital camera, unique relationship between Aperture & Shutter speed, maintaining proper exposure, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Shutter speed, ISO, 18% Grey, Metering, Exposure Compensation, Depth of Field, Autofocus Points, RAW, JPEG, White Balance, Composition, Perspective Distortion etc.

FROM EXPERIENCE
Through years of experience we’ve discovered that splitting the course over two separate evenings works really well. The groups are kept intentionally small, normally 3 or 4 people in total. It works best if everyone brings their own digital camera with them so that they can practice and familiarise themselves by finding settings and trying techniques as we work through the flexible syllabus together.
